I’m Ellie! Or Heather, I answer to almost anything.

I’m a 24 year old gal livin it up in Portland, Oregon. Weekdays, I’m usually working with my cats sleeping close by, a candle lit, and some obscure Spotify playlist playing for 8 hours a day. Weekends I’m partying it up with you guys!

I’ve been a professional photographer for about 3 years now (we won’t talk about the other 6 years spent goofing off with a camera very direction-less LOL). Besides the skill and talent needed to be successful in this industry, I believe what sets me apart is my ability to make even the most uncomfortable, comfortable. Growing up I was never athletic like my friends, and the joke was that my talent was “people”, and it’s proven to be true! I have yet to walk out of a session not feeling like I just made a new bff. I enjoy connecting with all kinds of people, and think a key player in true happiness is community.

To keep my life balanced, I spend a lot of time with my partner, friends and family. I’m currently obsessed with reading, I’m reading 3 different books at all times - usually a non-fiction book about our brains or bodies, a fantasy book (any SJM fans here?!) and then something random like an essay book.

I have 2 cats that I treat like my children. Coraline, a 3 legged toothless black cat I adopted October 2021. She is the true love of my life, twin flame, everything. We’re besties. Then there is Smokey (or smookitty) who was brought home by my partner a few years before we met. Smokey quickly wrapped himself around my heart, and unfortunately (for my partner) I am now his favorite.

I value honesty, trust, friendship and love above most things. Life is not meant to be lived pretending to be someone we’re not, liking something we don’t like, or wasting our time on things that don’t make our hearts SING. And what makes my heart sing is meeting you all and creating images that tell our stories beyond our lifetime.
